Hey guys I'm not sure if this is the right forum thread to post this but here I go.

I've been away for literal years, I haven't been active since 1.8 and that's the last time I actually remember having fun on server, mainly factions. Every server I go to is either overpopulated, over customized and frankly boring. I'm not sure if it's just nostalgia fighting back at me trying to try new things but I can't get into modern-day faction and raiding servers. I remember back in the day where everything was built by hand, no bukkit generators, no super duper guawk guawk combo bedrock breaker 9000s...

Alas, I'm attempting to recreate a server that I owned in the past that was quite successful but I'm having a hard time finding the old plugins I used to use. For my permissions I used to use PEX or PermissionsEX, I found it to be top tier security wise but all of the versions I've found are outdated and the one that is supposedly 1.17 doesn't work for some odd reason... Also essentials doesn't work anymore... What do servers use?

Also does anyone know of a good flat-bedrock generator for new worlds? I want it how it used to be on good factions servers, where the lowest level of bedrock was all flat so you can build bases on it.

LuckPerms for permissions (it's open source, also the standard perms plugin nowadays)
EssentialsX for essentials (i think, been a bit since I've used essentials)

Thanks for the help, I tried using LP and honestly I hate it. It's not that I don't understand it, I just genuinely hate having to use a web browser to edit permissions. I found a working 1.17 PermissionsEX plugin and I've already set up all my ranks with permissions.

Luckperms is more organized than pex so i suggest using luckperms
