I made a thread a few days ago, asking everyone's age.
I was confused if a lot of people were younger than me, who could take this experience, but I came to a conclusion it would help everyone.
Alright, so I'll be giving some details about my young teenage'd years as well as what you can try to avoid.
Some ideal things you can think about:
- Try to make sure to stay out of a fight, you could risk getting yourself hurt. It's better safe than sorry.
- People will often ask you questions and make you give embarrassing answers just so they can feel good about themselves. A tip is to just walk away, sometime it may seem really uncomfortable, but trust me, it's worth it. Remember, you won't be in school all day so it won't last forever.
- People will mock you for your habits. Whenever it'd be because of something really simple or something so confusing for "normal people", it can always be hard to avoid a situation which always inside of you. I personally just keep a huge smile on my face and kind of act happy&sarcastic at the same time. If you really independent, you can also make sure laugh at them so THEY feel embarrassed and it'll prevent them from doing the same thing to you again.
Now I'll start talking about different types of teenagers who tend to show up:
The Shy Kid: Don't worry, it's only temporary. Some things may seem scary but they're so simple. Remember, you don't need to do them, but even if you feel like you have to, you should always look at the consequences, usually they aren't that high as you exaggerated from the beginning. Also having a loyal friend will help you a lot for your self esteem.
The Nerd: You might think you know everything, and that's okay. But some stuff is okay for you to be taught, if you opened your ears, you'd actually become smarter than you already are. But hey, you're the one who'll get an educated, just remember to be nice to people and not use your intelligence as a tool to hurt people.
The Bully: There is usually only one. But in my school there's usually several who picks on one, rather the whole school. If there's one bully, then just stay away from him. It doesn't matter how old you are, if you believe someone is hurting your feelings, you are meant to tell the teacher. Just keep in mind to play smart and not try to get yourself in trouble with a bully if it isn't necessary. Also if you are the bully and you don't notice it, I'd recommend you step back and look at all of the things you've done.
The "Gangsta": Usually one of the people who are in groups. Kid, you need to get an education, not just live the "life". If you keep being a gangster the rest of your life and do drugs, weed etc., you aren't going to get anywhere. You need to be productive.
The Most Liked Kid: This is one of the most things I've been suffering with and I've always wanted to be. The problem is, if someone becomes one of the most liked kid, they tend to care less about others and forget the love within their friends. You need EQUALITY. Since you are the most liked kid, you should try to influence hated children in your school to be loved, that's my advice if you end up like that. Because if you are the most liked kid, you probably will impact people's opinions the most. And sadly most of these people tend to use hatred as a way to influence others to becoming bullies.
