If you were an older member you may remember me sharing my journey with you guys regarding my Uvetis, an autoimmune disease which basically attacks your eyes for no reason. I made a post about this of March of last year, here’s the link: https://www.mc-market.org/posts/1880195/
To summarize my issue, I was diagnosed with Uvetis in 2016, an autoimmune disease which effects the eyes which white blood cells will mistakingly attack the middle layer of the eye. Started on one eye, and moved to the next. I began with steroid drops which helped for the time but for my case it wasn’t going to be long term. I then moved onto Methotrexate, which helped but the inflammation was still there. Eventually my doctor said that without the use of a stronger biological medication this wouldn’t improve.

For about a year, I’ve dealt with taking Humira shots about every four weeks, and let me tell you they’re a pain in the ass and they burn like hell when injected. However, I can’t argue that this is worse than losing your eyesight. Actually, I haven’t really admitted it but I did lose some of my vision from this, but I can still see rather fine.

Side Effects:

With any biological, or any medication in general there will be side effects. Unfortunately I have noticed my personality change in a negative manner and I seem to be more agitated at the same time I feel lost and at some times extremely depressed. I’m kind of making this to put this off my chest because how I’m feeling, and as time goes on the side effects begin to come worse and more are beginning to come into place.

In addition to side effects, I’ve began to develop Tinnitus in my left ear and according to online studies it is suspected, but not confirmed, that Humira can cause this. But this has worried me because I don’t know how I got it, if it was from listening to headphones at a high volume I’d be affected in both ears however my left ear has always been the most vulnerable.

I don’t know if this explains why I act like a complete phycopath on the forum.

I think I have the mental capability to continue with the medication however I don’t know if my current issues can become permanent problems.

I appreciate you reading; I just have streessed out about this and after a year it’s become worrying about why things are coming up all of a sudden.

I just read your last post and this one, and that really sucks man. I hope you get better, it’s poor that anyone is treated this way. I’m a Catholic myself so I might say a prayer for you tonight my man. Stay strong, keep fighting, and I hope eventually you’ll get better.

Humira gave my dad kidney cancer, he needed surgery and they removed 1 whole kidney. Its a fucking shitty side effect and its rare but its possible. Sorry to hear about whats happening, also its psychopath ( phycopath ). Best of luck in the future, keep fighting my guy!
