You could probably get an i5 1050ti 8gb of ram, that would be great for studying.

I was going to get that until my budget increased. I'd recommend it. It has the features of a high end laptop, without the real 'power' of it. I doubt you'd need more power though, since thats about the same you'll get across the board with ultrabooks under $750.

Used 13 inch MacBook Pro, 13 inch MacBook Air, or 2016 MacBook Core M7... All can be had for less than $750 and Mac leads in media production due to the software available and stability.

Do you really need all that power? The XPS 13 weighs more and is thicker.
