Best Advertising Methods

I'm here to ask people with established and popular servers a couple questions. Please only reply if you'd consider your self a "successful server owner". Or if you know how a successful server has advertised their platform.

What was your methods/means of advertising? What was the cost?
And in how did this reflect success?

As others have said discord or youtube are probably your best bets. Bottom line is that it's going to take a lot of money, though, so you need to make sure your server really stands out from the competition, or at least can survive without a large playerbase (at least at the start). There are bigger servers that will simply outspend you, how will you deal with it?

I've done this before, quality over anything. People appreciate a personal connection with the Owner too. Be active and social and put your players before anything else
