Unpopular opinion, but Windows Defender as my day-to-day antivirus.
It used to be that the Windows antivirus was actually really horrible. Nowadays it seems like it's a lot better; but that's not why I say I prefer it.
As a daily antivirus, Windows Defender is the least ad-like, adware, bloat-filled crap out there. AVG, Norton, McAfee, etc., are practically themselves adware and they are utterly intolerable to use.
However - I always have Malwarebytes on my computer for the occasional scan (weekly or so), along with AdwCleaner (which I don't use often). More often it's easier just to only go to trusted sites, but obviously that isn't a perfect plan and everyone slips up at some point. But yeah...
