Best Hosting Location for best Connection?

Hey,

I was wondering what would be the best place for a server to be located which would provide a decent connection throughout the world.

I know it depends on connections speeds of people's internet and the specs of the server, but in general what would be the best location?

The two options I have are France or Canada.

Please let me know which place is better!

Asia + Europe are very populated compared to North America. I think France would be better.

Normally France provides the best connection, so I would go with France.
