Hello,

So I'm creating a new server, and looking back on it I was an idiot for thinking that I'd be spending $100+ monthly on hosting, what's one of the best hosts out there? Looking for one with a top notch CPU, anything to keep the TPS as high as possible.
Not willing to spend the money for a dedi considering I'll be getting maybe 20 players at most.

I'm currently using AnvilNode but have not tested cannons and such yet.

Thanks!

You don't need to pay $100 for 20 player slots silly! A 4GB server @ aquatis.host for $4. Save your self the rest of the money!
if you'd read the thread I don't want to pay $100, I said I was going to get a dedi back then but now I'm not. I had other reasons. thanks for the suggestion tho.

Our plans are currently just $2.40/GB when you use promo code NOJOKE40
They can be found here: https://clovux.net/mc

We use E3-1245v2 CPUs or similar which are perfect for Minecraft due to their high single thread benchmark.

$2.70/GB at TigerNode (code: MC10). Reliable and high performing. We use E5-1650v3 CPUs, which work wonderful. Feel free to try us out and if you don't like it just request a full refund. However I'm confident that won't be necessary.

I can offer you an alternative. It's 30$/year + installation fee. No ram limitation. Hosted on OVH's servers in canada or europe. 480gb/s DDOS protection. You get your own panel and have full access to it.

Pm me if you're interested.[DOUBLEPOST=1491494415][/DOUBLEPOST]

If you question the legitimacy of it you can test the setup for 1 month. Ill ask 5$ (canada) or $3 (Europe) and you will see for yourself.

Get like 12gb from fallout hosting
Because you need 12gb of ram for at the most of 20 players. If you get 12gb of ram, you might as well just get a dedicated server.
EDITED:
Also it isn't all about ram when it comes to making a minecraft server. It also depends on the CPU and it's speed. Like Minecraft is single threaded, so a 48 core processor isn't going to preform well with a Minecraft Server.

Also I can vouch for Dylan as he is professional and doesn't over sell.

For only 20 players, 2-3gb of ram is fine. Like if you have 16gb of ram and a shitty CPU, that will lag you even with all that ram. The most you should have for ram is 4gb. I know you are going to have a factions server but 20 players can't lag with 2gb of ram unless the CPU is shit.

Anvilnode all the way, great support and servers
Never going with AnvilNode again, had some staff complications. Got refunded but the way their staff handled it before one nice member happened to come along was insane. Starting to think I'll go with a cheap ReliableSite server, I need a few other small servers for private things and dedi's are nice to have to setup mutiple servers.
