Check your local Parks & Recreation. My area hires at 14. I worked there when I was 15 and 16, and started at $8.50/hour and ended the second summer at $11/hour. It's a super simple job, if you're working at a pool.

Aside from that, mowing lawns is a good one. You get to name your own price, and if they don't want to hire you, you can literally walk to the next house. May sound like tough work, but from personal experience I could pull $100/day just from mowing 5 lawns. Worked when I wanted to, had long-term clients, messed up gardens at some points, but overall it's a solid job for a kid. Don't pass up on it, it makes good money. Just stay hydrated and anticipate the heat, and wear shoes you don't mind getting severe grass stains on.

What most people here don’t realize is that coding and starting off low builds a skill that pays 5x, 10x or even 20x in the future. I fully endorse coding, any languages.

It might depend on the area, but my local McDonalds stores don’t hire 14 year olds

In AU i'm pretty sure they hire 14 year olds so i just assumed majority of other places do as well.

Explain more please.

Aus here, MCdonalds does allow in some places, it's up to the manager. SInce you need an extra permit and strict work hours.[DOUBLEPOST=1557905874][/DOUBLEPOST]
The issues is that it is hard to learn, have any suggestions? I'd love to get into it.
My honest suggestion is to dip your toe in every coding language. The one you like the most will just drown you. You’ll know when you want to learn a specific language.

Don't code unless you enjoy it. Trust me. It gets very tedious and repetitive. Luckily, you don't actually need to know everything about code, because the majority of developers search up code on Google (no, I'm not joking, there was even a poll). I'd personally suggest you make a few hundred (or few thousand, if possible) from something like graphic design/motion design (oofing can tell you how well you can do if you're good at it) or something like that, then invest into something. I personally suggest cryptocurrency, with the help of your parents. I've already made $30 from $120 in around a week or two without actually doing any work other than checking the prices a few times a day.[DOUBLEPOST=1557924363][/DOUBLEPOST]

Back in Texas it was 14 and up. Still though, I don't suggest he work there. Every McDonalds I've seen been bad for the workers, with all the oil and grease and other crap they breathe in and get on them. Pretty much any other fast food place would be better (unless he lives outside of U.S, in that case go right ahead and work at McDonalds, they're much better)

Investing in cryptocurrencies at 14 is the most retarded thing I have ever heard, most people who are around that age, the moment they get any money in cryptocurrency someone refers them to a gambling service, and boom there goes your money.

How about you invest in real stocks? Does a lot better than saying all you did was invest in bitcoin and hope it went up since bitcoin is unpredictable investing in stocks makes you use your actual brain instead of blindly hopping on the bandwagon the moment it goes up $100.
Yes, which is why you invest into cryptocurrency, and don't blow your money on a gambling service, because that's not investing, that's gambling. Cryptocurrency is high risk, but considering that recently, a ton of stores have begun accepting it (Starbucks, Barnes and Nobles, and 100+ more), XRP was released in New York, and Wall Street is about to allow it to be invested in with normal stocks, I think it's safe to say that crypto is going to go up. Bitcoin has already gone up, like, 50% in the past month. And you don't invest when it goes up, that's blind. You invest when the market is at a low, then resell at the top. You need to know when to sell, though. If you actually do it right, you can do very well. The only issue is that no one does right, even though there's plenty of guides on how to do it right.
