If you are into competitve gaming I would for sure get the BenQ ZOWIE XL2540 (1080p and 240Hz). If not then I would recommend an expensive dell or LG monitor for high res stuff like 4k.

I can't agree with this enough. Upon realizing that I really don't game much at all, I bought a 5K monitor, and it's been a truly transformative change. Text looks as crisp as the printed page.
