Same here. Just like with the show Lucifer. It was cancelled after x seasons but people loved it so much that netflix bought it out and continued it.

If you don't mind subtitles then Dark is amazing, there's 2 seasons and the third will be the last. The show is German but the subtitles aren't too distracting as most of the story telling is visual.

It's ...well.... dark. It's also a thriller, mystery and supernatural but not to the same extent as Stranger Things or anything like that. I wouldn't look into it too much before watching because spoilers will ruin it.... make sure you pay attention because it is NOT a slow burner and there are many twists and turns.
