Hello!

The following computer will easily be able to max out nearly every 1440p and even play a large variety of games in 4k.

I decided to make this parts list revolve around a clean, black color style with some beautiful RGB memory to spice it up.

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For $0.00)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H60 54.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (£65.99 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: MSI Z270M MORTAR Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard (£124.08 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory (£151.90 @ CCL Computers)
Storage: Crucial MX300 750GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (£197.34 @ Novatech)
Storage: Seagate 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive (£93.59 @ Aria PC)
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Windforce OC Video Card (£373.47 @ CCL Computers)
Case: Fractal Design Define Mini C with Window MicroATX Mid Tower Case (£74.99 @ CCL Computers)
Power Supply: SeaSonic 520W 80+ Bronze Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£67.80 @ Alza)
Total: £1149.16
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

[DOUBLEPOST=1489439696][/DOUBLEPOST]If that is too far out of your price range, you can easily remove either the SSHD or the SSD. I would personally suggest removing the 2TB SSHD before the 750GB SSD. ;)

They are great! They excel in tasks that can use an absurd amount of cores. However, gaming cannot utilize that many cores. The I7 7700k's single core performance will shine in gaming, in particular games, it can give you a 20% higher framerate.

As much as I want them to be better than what Intel is currently offering, I doubt they will be. It is ultimately up to you. :)

Skylord just about said anything I was gonna say, so that saves some time.
If you do a lot of rendering, like me, they might be interesting, but for gaming they're not as strong as Intel's best. Still, great quality for their price, if only they didn't need an AMD motherboard I might've gotten one.
Ah well, I'll just have to wait until I get the money for a render farm.

Turtle I'd appreciate it if you could reply so I can properly decide on the components.

This doesn't include the $300-400 i7-7700k ("already purchased").

So about CPU.. Intel has good single core performance. You don't need an i7 if the most intense thing you're gonna be doing is gaming. i5 is cheaper and will work just as well.
AMD CPUs are cheaper and (sometimes) have more cores, but are a little slower with single core performance, but still very good price per performance.

There are no downsides to having an i7 in a gaming build. It allows you to truly multitask while playing games. Since Turtle has a budget that allows him to go with an i7, he might as well. :)

Here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/L7RPGf

I went with Ryzen 7 because allot of games are CPU intense so eight cores with 16 threads are more than enough(used the stock cooler because it's more than enough plus it has LED lights).

MSI X370 GAMING PRO CARBON ATX AM4 Motherboard: probably the best choice for AM4 motherboards right now.

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory: 16 gigabytes is more than enough plus it runs on 3000mhz

ADATA Premier SP550 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive: Probably the best "bang for buck" SSD you can get (samsung is overpriced af)

MSI GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6GB GAMING X Video Card: Probably one of the best choices if you have the money (didn't choose 1080 due to cooling problems, and if I went with the 1080ti this build would've been more than 2k)

NZXT S340 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case: Just for the looks you can choose whatever you want

EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply: 80+ Gold and fully modular... Enough said.

PM me for that $$ c:

It was brought to my attention that the price was messed up on the I7 7700k so I went with a few cheaper items to bring it closer to your budget.

If you want to save a little bit more money, this one does not have an unlocked processor.

This list of components is based off of the little information we were provided with other than ''gaming''.
I have personally handled all of these components. These components are easily to handle, aesthetically pleasing, and great for gaming in the long run. Something you might consider is to add an LED strip so the case doesn't look so awkward during the night. It is well under 1000 pounds, something others don't seem to realize, and will handle most modern games at 1080p with great quality for years to come.
