Are you referring to the AMD FX 8*** lineup from 2012? They perform horribly in any modern task.

The FX series cannot fully utilize 8GB's of VRAM on a GPU.

They are a much better value than Nvidia's counterparts. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a budget gaming computer. Especially if they are looking for 1080p/light 1440p gaming.
