Something with android, a removable battery, SD card slot, changeable SIM card, rootable, dual-bootable, etc.

I hate Apple phones because they lack all of that and Apple phones are very locked down. You don't even have a built-in file manager, and the ones on the app store don't really work. You can't have custom ROMs with Apple, and the user interface is kind of annoying and ugly imho. There are many reasons to hate Apple.

Apple: Ready-made mostly non-customizable, for when you want something that works rightaway without any need to customize, and will keep working until one day it doesn't, and then you either repair for a fuckload or, more commonly, have bought a new version way before this happens.
Big plus points:
-Screen quality is very high, assuming you dont break it like an idiot.
-Connects very easily to other Apple devices
-overall decent quality hardware for the price (unless you buy right at release, this assumes you wait until price drops).
-(almost) all interaction is smooth and well-designed

neutral point: New products are brought out quite quickly
big minus points:
-low customizability, you're basically dependant on Apple's whims when it comes to apps (app-store is heavily moderated afaik).
- Connects VERY poorly to non-apple devices (friend of mine spend 90 mins trying to get her phone to transfer a photo to her windows OS laptop).
- Launch prices are ridiculous even for a tech company, don't buy just the latest. Also, if you want something low-budget look 3+ versions backwards
-Hardware dependency as well as software dependency (if you want to be able to do the things an android user can hardware-wise, you'll need a few dongles).
- Repair shops that are not official apple ones are rare, and almost always scams. self-repair is practically impossible for all but the smallest issues

Android (differs per brand): Highly customizable, lots of competition ensuring good value for money, you can basically set up your interface and system exactly how you want it, assuming you have some basic knowledge of how to. Has far more third-party input as well. Comparable to Linux for PC's, except the OS itself is easier to use.

big plus points:
-Customizable
-comes in all shapes and sizes
-low-budget options are available
-More choice software/app-wise
-repair options are everywhere, with the right know-how you could even attempt yourself.
-loads of hardware options, charge the phone while listening to music while doing 3 other things, if you want, with minimum dongles.

big minus points:
-will need more repair/break more easily software-wise.
-Actual hardware quality differs per manufacturer, you'll need some serious research to get the right phone for you
-off-brand scams
-connectivity with other devices, again, varies per manufacturer.
-too much choice, you have no idea

Windows phones:
-I mean, do we even need to go over this?
-it's not a joke, I had one
-functionality -100%
-okay if you want to make calls and text and thats it
-why not just get a basic nokia-style phone then?

Edit: Off-brand scams are not exclusive to android, but since theres more brands theres more scams

I hate them now

When I did use a mac. I hated it it was slow and horrible

there only good for school now

all the MacBook air laptops were trash. 2006-2008 MacBook pro and MacBook (yes, just MacBook) were actually really good. I replaced my Toshiba with a 2008 MacBook for a good 3 years
