Best PVP and performance fork?

Hello, I will set up a factions server and I want my players to enjoy pvp (boosting with arrows, etc.) and good performance. What is the best fork you would recommend me? Thanks.

I'd definitely recommend Taco Spigot, but if you're running on 1.7/1.8 paper with a few bug fix plugins is perfectly good enough! : )
