Best Recording and Editing softwares ?

I want to start recording some HCF videos, but I'm not to sure what are the best recording softwares and editing softwares.

I know OBS and action is good for recording, I have OBS at the moment,

What do you think are the best recording and editing softwares.

I know vegas is good, but is there any editing softwares below 20 USD ?​

I use a free editing software called shotcut that's very very good. I'd recommend checking it out, and watching some videos.

Eh I personally like it but obs is also good. I can't record obs bc someone messed my settings up and now I get 5 fps recording.

Try reinstalling. clear all files. and start fresh.

Already tried still 5 fps... I think one of my ram sticks are loose bc pubg always crashes now that I think of it.

Editing under $20: You just missed a vegas humble bundle for $20. I'd recommend Hitfilm express. It is free and quite powerful.

I use a combination of Fraps and my el gato and edit with Vegas. You missed out though humble bundle had vegas for $20 last week

I use shadowplay a good amount because I mostly just want clips/good moments, it also has a normal start/stop record function, but you have to have a nvidia series graphics card above a 650 or something like that. Audio isn't always the best, I also use action which has better audio, more options, and imo a better UI. Sony Vegas is normally my first choice for editing, it's not very hard to learn and there are literally thousands of tutorials out there.
