Hello everyone,

I am going to give you the most efficient advice to filter out the 99.99% of impersonator scammers.

You need to ask them to message you on MCM their Discord / Skype name, and compare it with the one, which is chatting with you. That's it. If they can do it, they are legit. If they can't, they are impersonators.

If they are trying to find excuses about why can't they do it, i.e. because they are on phone, or they need to go home for doing that, then there is a 99.9% chance about that you are talking with a scammer.

Be careful:
- normal MCM private messages (i.e. I am the real me), can be easily FAKED, by making a circular / double scam
- screenshots can be even more easily faked, by using some photo editing software, like Paint, or Photoshop
- if the scammer you are talking with will tell you that he will give you some personal data about himself, for earning your trust, NEVER believe him, he will just give you some kind of fake info

Let me know if this post helped you for making sure you will never ever fall to a scam again.

You can fake MCM private messages? Just tell them to message you something stupid from discord and tell them to tell you it on MCM. Done, seems sort of self-explanatory, I don't understand the whole fake PM thing you're talking about.

They can do that if they are impersonating 2 persons at ones.
Let's say I am member A and I want to trade with member B.
The scammer will contact me and tell me he is member A and he will also contact member B and tell him he is member A. That way he can ask both 2 parties, to fake chat messages. Catty tried to do this few days ago.[DOUBLEPOST=1512597469][/DOUBLEPOST]
This probably isn't the best to post because I'm sure some impersonators will be looking at this.
That might happen, however there is no way they can bypass such way of detection unless they hack the impersonated members MCM account.

Dang alright thanks for that, that's super sly, I would have fallen for that.

I had no idea this was even a thing and would have definitely fallen for it.
