Best Way To Learn Java?

I've been trying to learn Java, but I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on learning Java.

I am currently taking AP Computer Science at school and lets just say it has been a fun time. My teacher was previously a C++ programmer who is now learning Java as she goes with us...

So I was wondering if anyone had any good methods to learn Java with ease that just doesn't start cramming a load of stuff right off the bat.
