Best way to transfer all files to another VPS

So I've got my VPS for almost a year now and the price isn't really the one that I can pay every month which is why I'm switching to another provide *cough* Lord Flo reply on discord *cough* anyways, I obviously have to transfer all my files and such so I'm wondering, is there an easy way to do this?

If the server is OpenVZ based, you can ask your current provider to create an image of your current server.
We can then restore the image from our servers and you will have the same server on a new host. :tup:

Then I would recommend choosing the important files and simply transferring them over rsync.

If both are using the same VM software you should be able to create a snapshot and use that on the other one (if the host allows snapshots)
