Hello, just making this simple thread talking about this person who added me on skype who wanted to hire me as a server manager. He wanted to give me a slideshow of what he wants to be done but gave me a .exe file that says SlideShow.exe and has some other type of logo. This is a keylogger and people please be careful when dealing with people like this.

Now I know you're wondering why I don't report him, I don't know his MCM account, he added me on skype out of nowhere.

USER DELETED ALL HIS MESSAGES ONCE I FOUND OUT.

Interestingly enough I had someone do very similar to me a couple of months back. The person was asking for me to build them a custom map and sent me a Slideshow.exe saying it contained images of what they wanted the map to look like. After refusing to run it, and questioning why he couldn't just send me screenshots / images, he removed me on skype.

A good lesson is indeed to never trust .exe files unless you have the option to go punch the person in the face and drag them to your PC to remove that shit.
Apart from that, GET A VIRUS SCANNER!!!
If you dont have money, use Avast. Their periodic popups for the free version can be annoying, but they function just fine.
Also get MalwareBytes for extra backup.

You will be fine with people sending you things like mp4 and png files. Be wary of .docx and .doc files due to exploiting methods.

If a file has "exe" before the .extension be wary because this is a common virus attempt.

Its an exploit that uses a py script to turn it to an exe when u open it.
