BEWARE SCAMMING METHOD

So I was approached by a user on this forums. He was going to buy bitcoin off me. He said he would go first, and actually sent the money. I got a confirmation via mobile notification, as well as an email. Checked paypal and the money was pending. Called up paypal and they said his active balance was $0, and "refunded" the money.

So how was this a scam?
He was sending the money via bank transfer or card. His bank or creditcard has $0, but it still shows the money going through as processed (most likely the bank). The money remains pending on your account. It would take an additional 2 days for paypal to see that there is no money, and cancel that payment. Short story, it tricks you into believing you received the money, but you get nothing,

Its a payment with funds that dont exist which means the system will never actually process and then paypal will just cancel it.

He kept requesting he gets paid, since he did basically send it.

I've seen recent threads over the past few days of people wanting money from venmo for btc/paypal, or simply have a cc and want paypal. DO NOT TRUST THOSE THREADS

Majority of them are scammers doing this method, or a similar.

I think someone did this to me, he paid me 10$ and it’s been pending for 5 days.

Was it a new member? Call up paypal and see if it was sent by a bank/card.

Yes he has no reputation. As soon as I have him the twitter account he changed everything (handle, blocked all following etc)

Most likely he was a scammer than lol

I would not advise this as its more of a warning than a go ahead. This could really fuck you over if they pursue it legally, as its fraud.

yeah chearful.ninja has had around 10 people try this on us thinking our IPN will give them their credits with this new "method". I've had people try to buy $900 worth of credits thinking I'm stupid and will give them their stuff before the bank transfer actually completes :rofl: It's weird though; all of a sudden everyone suddenly started using said "method" and it appears to be catching on to other scammers.

Yes I've heard about these methods before, apparently you can send as much money as you want. I've attached a screenshot of a person selling these exploited PayPals below (DO NOT ASK ME FOR THEIR DISCORD I WON'T ALLOW IT).
