I'm not sure if this has been said already, but I think their should be a set date you have to put in for an account thread if you are letting people bid, honestly whats the point of letting people BID if you only want people to pay the BIN price for the account, so I suggest in the form you use to fill out the details add a bidding end date that can be changed twice up to 20 days ahead.

Or just put a drop down that can say that you are not accepting bids.

There's a rule that says you must specify an end date that nobody really follows, a bunch of people got warned for it a while back but it still hasn't sucks. Rule 5.5

Yes but people don't really follow it, so I think adding it to the actual form would be a good idea.

I agree. They should add it to the actual form, or enforce the rule

The rule seems unnecessary considering we allow people to say "I'm accepting offers but want around $500 for it" but don't let them say "Accepting bids, BIN $500, ends in 4 years or when I get an offer I like"

Seems like a clunky rule for a problem that doesn't really exist in my opinion.

I would like to get more feedback on this first though.

In a previous announcement, we adjusted the phrasing of the rule to be more lenient for users requesting bids without an end date. Specifically, we changed:

5.5 Do not start an auction-style thread without specifying a reasonable auction end date.

To:

5.5 Do not start an auction-style thread with an end date which is not reasonable for the product.

I believe that this fixes the issue by making many more ways of asking for offers allowed. Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
