we need to make some rules for prices.

#1 it should be a set date (ex: 1 week) from the first bid. Not, for example:

"Starting bid: $10

Bidding ends in 3 weeks after bid is over $50."

That's just stupid. I've seen this on many sales threads. Why would the starting bid be $10, when you won't take anything under $50.

#2 buyers need to commit to their bids. No backing out or editing their post to say "nvermind". Being a seller myself really just pisses me off. This is pointing to the people who bid $50 on something that is at $6, and then back out later. (Troll bidders)

So yeah. If you disagree, please say why you disagree below. If you have nothing to say I don't see why you are disagreeing.

Lmao, people should have the right to backout of a bid. I don't care that it pisses you off, it's how the world works, I'm not going to be held in a cage saying you Vidded on this no backing out..on this, or you will be banned.

Why should you be able to? If you're going to back out of a bid you shouldn't have bid in the first place. That is not how the world works at all you can't back out of bids in real life so why should you be able to here.

When I mean backing out of a bid. I mostly mean the low rep members who have no intent to buy anything, but they say "Bid $50" when the bid is at $6. So basically troll bidders. They need to be some what warned and punished.

People hangs their mind, people don't want to buy some stuff, they may want to buy it at first, but they might decide not to buy it or buy another item. When I say 'that's how the world works' I mean like eBay snd etc.. You can bid on it but you don't have to pay for it, or if that was some other app.

Real life is not eBay and neither is MCM.

I agree, it's neither of those, but people won't want to be tied to chain. 'You bid on this you have to buy it'
People change their minds.[DOUBLEPOST=1467988070][/DOUBLEPOST]
We're not saying banned from marketplace... could be a temporary bid restriction to stop troll bidding. If you're going to frigging bid on an item, at least be willing to buy it or don't bid at all. Please use some common sense before reverting to the "ban automatically" mentality.

It's not how the world works but it is how this world works. This is not a certified auction house. There is no accountability that the project is actual quality or even owned by a person. If you believe at any point that purchasing something may be a bad idea, you must be free to abandon the purchase.
The only bidding consequence there should be is a warning of moderate strength if you abandon after the bidding ends, assuming the OP posted an end time before you bid. Barring that, and barring external circumstances, there should be no consequences.

You don't have to be tied to the chain. If there is a possibility of changing your mind why wouldn't you wait until the auction is almost done before you bid.

Just to clear it up. For not being able to back out of bids. I'm talking about the bull shit bids out there. From trollers. Not normal bids (reasonable). I'm just saying that they should get warned.

The problem is where to draw the line. The idea makes sense in itself, but the application will be difficult. How do you tell if a bid is legit or trolling? I mean if someone bids $500 on a $5 item it's clearly a troll, but apart from that it's not as easy as it sounds.

I'm just saying if they make a bid that looks a little suspicious like you said they should be warned. Just because they say "I was joking" just pisses the seller off.
