I think it would be a good idea to somehow make it so people know it’s someone’s birthday. You could do this by putting some type of emoji or a feature.

It would be like I said you get like a emoji next to your name for a day or something like that

You can see someone's birthday if they set that to allow in their privacy settings.
If your suggestion to make it more clear when it's their birthday,
Maybe adding a little birthday cake on your profile picture if they've set their privacy settings to allow showing their birthday.

As Kram already said there is a setting for this.

If someone doesn't like that their birthday is visible, there is settings as some people may want their age to be listed as it doesn't seem like it is a problem for it being listed.

Oooh, I like this idea! I'd also suggest an option to turn it off (just in case if they want to keep their privacy safe).
