I have been wanting to get into bitcoin for a while now, but have never understood it. All I know is that I need a wallet, but I don't know the best place is to get a wallet.

question, why is there two btc addresses on wallet?

It's a change address feature that Exodus added for privacy protection.

Honestly don't get into bitcoin if you want to learn. Get some other coin like doge that's quick and easy to convert. Also, start off with a paper wallet because it lets you learn the most about public and private keys.

also you can get more then just 2 addresses on the exodus wallet all you gotta do is make a deposit in the second one and a third will generate.
