[For people with an attention span]
We've all found ourselves here because we have a shared interest in entrepreneurship and Minecraft. We all have a vision and we're working towards achieving our goals every single day. I have a dream and a vision and I won't stop until I achieve that.
Minecraft is a beautiful game. I don't look at Minecraft as an escape from life, but rather an addition that I greatly value. I've made countless memories throughout my 12 years of playing this game and I can confidently say that some of my favorite memories were made playing this game.
I want to recreate these memories, not only for myself, but for others. Modern Minecraft servers as a whole aren't what they were at one point. You could say It's because we're older and Microsoft ruined the game, but I don't think that's the case. Minecraft is more fun when you're playing with other people. It's fun to compete, show players creations you've made, and chat, but you have to be accompanied by the right people. It's called a community. The community experience is the most important aspect of any server, but the majority of modern Minecraft servers are lacking in this area, why?
Well, let me do some research and figure that out.
I started by going to MinecraftServers.org and adding the 3 top ranked servers to my server list.
Netherite.gg - I joined the Skyblock realm for this experiment because this was their most popular game mode at the time. The first observation I made was the staff to player ratio. There were 3 staff members online and 76 players total. This resulted in a multitude of questions being asked in the chat, but nobody was there to answer them. The demographic seemed to be a younger audience and the majority of the chat was occupied by players looking to make money in the game.
InsanityCraft - I selected Insanity's most popular gamemode which is what I'll do for the remainder of this experiment. This was the Blue Survival realm. I was immediately gifted $1,000,000 which tells me how inflated their economy is. The chat was active, but not much was going on, so I decided to look around the server. I checked the player list and there seemed to be no staff online, unless someone was in vanish. Again, players were begging for help, but nobody was there to help them. As I looked around the server, I quickly became bored realizing that this was another basic survival server with nothing interesting going on. Also, they were blatantly spoofing their server list player count by almost 2500%. MinecraftServers.org displayed their total player count as 5,000, but there were only around 250 players online across all of their servers.
AceMC - This server only had one gamemode which was survival. Their player count on MinecraftServers.org was 70 and their real player count was 35, so they were spoofing half of their players. This server has the most features I've seen so far and is more interesting than the others, but as a newcomer I was left to figure everything out on my own without a proper tutorial and introduction to the server. This wasn't much of a challenge to me because of my experience, but I could see it being overwhelming for an inexperienced player. There was no flow to the features I was seeing and the spawn was packed with NPCs that had no correlation to each other. Some of the features didn't work and I was prompted with lores in the GUI that filled my screen with long dialogues.
I'm going to keep this experiment short because I have more to talk about, but my observations should give you a better idea of Minecraft's current state and the typical mistakes that a lot of servers are making. Here are some of the reasons that these servers are sub par;
That's why I've embarked on a journey to create the Universal Home for All Minecraft players. A place where people can come together to create and share. An accepting home that empowers It's players through creativity. I'm extremely passionate about this project and I'm confident in my ability to make this vision become my reality. Here's what I'm going to do to make this happen;
It's More than Survival
Minecraft initially gained It's notoriety through Minecraft let's plays. People enjoyed watching videos of other people playing the game and the LP fandom is largely responsible for Minecraft's soar in popularity throughout the early 2010s. LPs and word of mouth combined together made the game spread like wildfire. Survival was always the basis of Minecraft and the only way to truly experience everything the game had to offer. Over the years survival has evolved and is rarely played in It's vanilla state. Many new dynamics have been introduced that give the game a new field of depth. If done correctly these new dynamics and features created through mods and plugins can provide endless excitement and ignite that euphoria we remember from playing the game as a kid. Minecraft can quickly become stale in It's vanilla state, but luckily we don't have to worry about that, because BlockParty will have many exciting features and dynamics to keep our players engaged. One of the features that we will be heavily focusing on is the economy. Our economy will be seamlessly integrated into every aspect of the server. PVP, Mining, Building, Crafting, Fishing, Killing Passive and Hostile creatures, Smelting, the list goes on. Minecraft is fun because there is no script. There's no direction you have to follow in order to reach your goals. You set your own goals and milestones and you should be able to be rewarded for whatever you choose to do. There will not be a singular way to be competitive in the economy, instead players can do what they want to do and be rewarded for that with money, loot boxes, and level experience. We will never reset the map and players will never lose anything that they've earned. That's how Minecraft was designed and I don't plan to have resets to create hype and increase donations for a couple of weeks just for the server to quickly become stale after players realize there's no point in working towards something that they will lose. Instead, we will work to keep inflation down and always give our players new features to spend their money on. This allows for new players to be able to compete in the economy and keeps our dedicated players infinitely engaged. BlockParty will be an endless grind, but won't feel like it because our players will constantly be rewarded with dopamine for doing what they love. We will achieve this through keeping inflation down so monetary value and items have a meaning and by keeping a stable balanced economy. That's the basis of our server. Keep it simple and stick to the core values of Minecraft survival, but create an eco system around the game and keep players engaged through new content, an exciting economy, and mini games that are also integrated into the economy.
The Team
A great team is necessary for any project to succeed whether that be relative to Minecraft or not. There's a lot of work that goes into projects like this and you will always reach a point where you're unable to properly handle everything by yourself. I am working on building a team that shares the same passion as me. I want people who enjoy being involved in a community and want to see that community flourish. Everyone on my executive team and talent team will be paid a percentage of our revenue based on the amount of time, work, and effort that they put into this project and that includes myself. This is a leap of faith for me and anyone who chooses to invest their time into this project, but I accept that and will do everything in my power to turn this into something that benefits your life monetarily, socially, and emotionally, but also gives you an avenue to achieve your wildest dreams through expansion and growth alongside me. A great team involves a group of people who are invested and driven by themselves, but are interested in working towards the bigger picture for reasons beyond themselves. I want to support everyone on my team by providing them with a great space to work efficiently. My team consists of honest individuals that are willing to give constructive criticism in a manner that won't break you down, but instead help you to reach the goal of creating the best end product for our players. I plan to continue expanding our team with talented individuals who have a good heart and I want you to join us!
The Community
This is undoubtably the most important aspect of any server, and the kryptonite to a good server and team. The first step to building a thriving community is providing a great environment for your players. The above two paragraphs are the key factors to a community's foundation. In order to grow our community we will maximize our initial retention rate by giving our players a great first impression. We will create a welcoming atmosphere for new players to help them get started and not feel like an outcast simply because they're new. We will have an in depth tutorial at our "starter spawn" which is where all of our players will spawn until they have reached level 2. Players won't be forced to complete the tutorial, but they will be encouraged to complete it for a reward. We will encourage our players to welcome everyone to the server with open arms by our staff setting a good example of how our players should treat others and enforcing rules in order to eliminate toxicity. We will have events planned on launch and will stay consistent with hosting events at least once per week, but hopefully more often than that if we can manage. Alongside our weekly event schedule we will release weekly updates so that players always have something exciting to look forward to. These updates will consist of new items, ticket shop rotations, new crates, and we will always be working towards adding and optimizing new features. Work will not slow down at all after the release and will continue to be steady throughout the whole duration of the server's lifespan. This is very ambitious, but I'm passionate and I'm willing to invest my all into this project to see it flourish. We will do our best to create a sub community in the Discord to get players more involved and active when they're away from their PC. We will cater to our community in every way possible, because without them this story couldn't be written. I will do my absolute best to take players' suggestions, opinions, and perspectives into consideration and let them know that we value and appreciate them. Creating unforgettable experiences for these players and giving them a home away from home to return to every night will be something that I live for. I want these people to make memories like I have and I won't stop until I achieve this.
[For people without an attention span]
If that inspired you, motivated you, or excited you I hope that you choose to join me along this journey. You are going to play a vital role in the success of this project and you have the opportunity to be as involved as you want to from the inception of this. I highly value and appreciate everyone that contributes to this project and I welcome you with open arms just as we'll welcome any Minecraft player who joins our server.

- Immature Children
- A Lack of passion and initiative being taken by the owners
- An unmotivated staff team, few staff online, or no staff online
- A lack of innovation
- Poor quality configurations
- An inflated economy
- Few updates if any
