BlueMap or Dynmap? Which do you prefer?

Hi everyone!

We are thinking of bringing back a map to our survival server but I am not sure which one I should be aiming for.

I am curious, which do you all prefer? BlueMap or Dynmap?

Why do you like one more than the other?

Hey, I currently operate a survival server of my own.

In our early days, we used Dynmap. It's a very good map system but after a month of use we ran into lots of issues. We've created Github issues about them and haven't received responses in weeks. My team has opted to switch over to BlueMap because of this. I haven't done any long term testing with it, but it seems promising.

Anyway, Dynmap is definitely not the move. BlueMap looks promising, though.

Used BlueMap for a few weeks now and I and my players honestly love it. Especially recommend for Survival servers, as the map is 3D, it is much easier to plan builds, etc. BlueMap is also way better on performance and lightweight, renders very fast comparing to Dynmap and Support is great. There are some great features that Dynmap offers over BlueMap, but if you are thinking for the long-term, I definitely think that BlueMap is the way to go!

After recently coming upon BlueMap, I've enjoyed it a lot better than DynMap. In the end, it's what you prefer, not others.

If you run a normal survival server, go with BlueMap, if you run a custom map like a Earth map, then I would go for Dynmap

i personally use BlueMap
I used Dynmap for years but where dynmap ends is where bluemap starts. Easyer to control manage and it looks amazing.
The updates they release improve the system very much and its stable.
