May I suggest you look at the discord.py documentation here: https://discordpy.readthedocs.io/en/rewrite/
If you are using Disco instead, do yourself a favour and just don't.

This is a very popular Discord bot, that you can host yourself. I don't see why you couldn't take inspiration from the code: https://github.com/Cog-Creators/Red-DiscordBot
