Hello MCM,

I am new to the business world, and I want to be able to know what could be done business wise, such as what possibilities there are, how businesses are run and made, how people manage their staff and keep them motivated to work, etc...

If you are willing to help me, I will give you a good vouch or positive rep (or both if you are friendly!), and we can just have a chill conversation about business and life and stuff.

Side Note: I am 15 and eager to learn with a serious mindset to skills I want to achieve, not an immature 8 year old squeaker lol.

Reply if you want to help me out!

Anything can be turned into a business, for example "Minecraft". It's just a game but the Minecraft server hosting industry was started because of it. Do you like IT? Start a business that makes custom budget computers. Do whatever you want.

Tbh, people that are entrepreneurs don't ask others... If you are eager to learn. Google is your best friend (He is willing to help you and doesn't even need a vouch to help you out!)

Good luck though!

People that are entrepreneurs definitely do ask others. Everyone needs to and does get knowledge from other people. I agree that Google is useful but so is having people give you their thoughts

Summary of his questions is: Spoon-feed me.
Entrepreneurs do not do that.

Summary of your opinion is: Entrepreneurs don't ask others for help
Everyone asks others for help.
No, you do not read. Or you don't want to understand. I never said that, what I said is Entrepreneurs don't ask for spoon-feeding they find it out themselves often or with a little help.

You shouldn't imply things that haven't been said.

Let's put it like this. Being an entepreneur, you will inevitably encounter something unexpected, some situation you were not prepared for. You will likely need to react quickly. If you lack the basic problem-solving ability to analyze a situation, gather relevant info and quickly make decisions, your life as an entrepreneur will be slow and difficult.

I have no idea if you have googled these questions yet, but I strongly recommend you do. There are also relevant subreddits (theres a subreddit for just about anything), and plenty of blogs.

While I can understand wanting to find new information, asking on a forum is far from the most efficient way to get it. If you had done some research before (nothing here implies that in any way), and still asked here to get additional information, I would look at it differently. But asking stuff like this without even attempting to look it up for yourself (again, might be wrong but nothing implies I am) would be like me calling myself a pro terraformer and then going "how do I make a mountain in Worlpdainter?" in general discussion.

End.
Well, ye, in this situation. You brought up a different one. You are still not understanding. They don't ask others these questions. I can explain why but it should be logical. Anyways. I should've rephrased that. Still, same statements apply :)

I would not call myself an entrepreneur either, or try to start up a proper company manned by anyone but myself. I lack the discipline and organizational skills to run a company.

Now, what I recommend you do is see if you can reach any actual entrepreneurs in your area, see how they do it. The amount of people on this site that could accurately answer these questions is maybe around a dozen. If you're just looking to start a buildteam or setup company, this might be an okay place, but short of that there's too few people here with experience in running an actual business.
I'm lucky, I have 3 actual entrepreneurs in my family. 1 in IT, 1 a retired farmer, and 1 the retired owner of a mid-sized company dealing in camping equipment. As such, I can ask advice anytime. And trust me, that world is VERY different from the one on MCM, or even an online company.

As an entrepreneur, your main task is to make money... into more money. You need to be willing to take the risk of investing money into a project and possibly losing it all. However it could also be very profitable.

Starting a business from scratch is an extremely hard thing to do especially if you do not have the experience or the capital to sustain it. It is not an easy job and requires a lot of dedication and planning. Without a well established plan (which can take months to create) you will have a very low chance of being successful.

Typically to gain experience in business and management you could buy a very small business and learn the basics. However that requires quite a bit of money which I do not expect a 15 year old to have. I can't provide ideas for you, that's one of the few things an entrepreneur has to do themselves. But your first startup should at least be in a market which you understand highly (for example Minecraft). Your first startup may fail spectacularly, but don't let that bring you down. You will learn from the mistakes you made last time and will not make them happen again.

Well I hope this explains how complex being an entrepreneur is. I could probably write a whole page about such things like staff management and etc. However it is quite late for me to be doing that sort of thing :3
