Hey MCM,

I'm on a roll. 2 ideas in like 10 minutes :). But I've just noticed that the ban page got removed. I always loved to go look at the ban page and see who got banned and so on and I'm sure a lot of other users do as well. Let me know your opinions about bringing it back.

Kind Regards,
Dragon

The ban page was removed after users decided to rant about the unfair reasons that people were banned (even though they weren't). The ban page will not be coming back any time soon.

Why don't you just make a rule that you can't rant about it, etc and it will be punishable?

Because there is absolutely no reason that the community needs to know the reasons why people were banned.

That's an opinion. I realize that it's only the staff's decisions that matter, but the rest of the community felt it was useful.

Then you can just have a ban list with out the reason. A lot of people liked viewing the ban list so they could see who got banned so they don't use there services and so on.

We should be entitled to know why others are banned 100%. It helps the community if nothing else, people ranting is hardly a huge problem so much so that the page had to be removed. It's informative for other users and makes people aware of malicious ones.

If a user's name is striked out, then you know they are banned and you should not deal with them.
Example (the most recent thread I could find):

A lot of people don't know what it means if there name is striked out. And a lot of people liked looking at the bans and the reasons.

It was used to humiliate users, if we could have it so it only displayed people who have scammed - it'd be great, but unfortunately - it isn't so.

Users have to be banned for more reasons than just scamming, and people disagreeing with bans on behalf of the person who got banned just from seeing them on the ban list has been a problem we've had for a while.

We're working on ways to sort it out, but a ban list will likely not be added back.
