Don't know if I've mentioned this already but cryptocurrency is just a scam to get people to waste their real-lifetime value money into fake coins that have an unstable value.
Don't invest in jack shit unless you are not prepared to lose a lot more than what you started with.

Hmm? Ever heard of future? You know that technically the USD or any other currency is worth nothing, the BTC (and other crpyptocurrencies) is just the next gen currency, in 2050 every transaction will probably be in crypto because its the safest and greatest thing that has been invented. You clearly don't know what your talking about and how the blockchain technology works.

Yea obviously I fucking dont, I dont spend my entire life mining away at cryptocurrency online, studying the graphs and expected growth of crypto, nor do I even have a wallet or an investment in any sort of crypto. It's just my perspective and I'd like to keep it that way. You have no way of telling me that cryptocurrency is going to be the future world-used money system, even with countries banning the use of it now.
I laugh at your expectations for the future of the worlds economy and structure, make your bets if you want to but I'm not for it.

Some experts says that the BTC price will rise up to 1Mil, I don't think your an expert in cryptocurrencies tho. Countries are banning btc for no valid reasons, and thats dumb

Btc I don't think is going to do well because the fees and it takes ages to get the transaction confirmed.

Eth and ltc is going to be booming

I was wondering if it is safe to invest in btc cuz its going down to the ground
In my personal opinion it all depends on your knowledge on crypto. For instance, if you just started looking into it and have no experience with crypto you will have a larger chance of losing money. Granted if you only invest a small amount and lose it, it's not the end of the world. In the end crypto is a high risk investment if your inexperienced. If you learn it like the back of your hand it won't be high risk (or as high) because you would know what to do at certain times. Well that's the end of my ramble haha. I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavors!

I put 5$ into Etherium, 10$ into LTC, 10$ into BTCash, and 5$ into BTC. And, in all honesty it is only worth 23$ right now. However, that money I initially put in, had a .99 cent fee taken out, so take 1 dollar off everything I just said, and that is really what I have put into Crypto. Right now, the drop in BTC, as well as all the other Crypos is due to the fact that countries are pulling out of the market. Until we recoup what was removed from the crypto market, the value will remain low. While, I do feel the values will go up again it will NOT be for awhile, and it will not be a HUGE rise as R9T thinks, I do not see it happening. I put money into it now since it is low (A small amount), to let it sit and maybe one day see a nice return on my money. Right now, it is hard to say if the value will go up, or if crypto will be a thing of the past. However, it does not hurt to put a few dollars into it, and just play around to see if you get somewhere. Anything is risky, if I buy 500 shares in the Stock Market, or 500$ in Crypto I can lose my "Real" paper money, or I can lose my "Fake" virtual money. It really does not matter what kind of "money" it is, you can lose it all no matter what you do.

I am not saying to invest, but you can lose money in the stock market, and you can lose money on Crypto. If you want to invest into it, do research, don't just jump in blind and think you will make money because you wont. I did the small amounts that I did just for the shits and giggles and to see where it goes years from now. 30$ into it will not break me, and I do not mind if I lose any money from this. It is merely just for the fun of it, because who knows where this will be in a few years.

This thread seems like a group of kids talking about something they know very little about. Investing money into cryptocurrency isn't something to play around with. First of all you should be investing money that are willing to lose in-fact when you invest the money act as if you have lost it already. Bitcoin and almost all other cryptos are super volatile so they rise up and down quickly without much notice. If you want to invest in crypto I would do your own research and diversify where you get the information from and remember never trust anyone always do your own research. Now personally I believe that bitcoin will rise back up gradually like it usually does in a few month time as January is usually when it hits it's all time low. I'm not a financial advisor but I think investing in btc or eth now is excellent but take my word with a grain of salt.

Cryptocurrency is hardly a scam, but it's not exactly a guaranteed moneymaker either. Basically it's a mix between low-entry stock-market trading and roulette (if you dont do research). Pick the correct one to bet on, and you can make good profits. Pick the wrong one and boom, money gone.

One thing to keep in mind is the background of the cryptocoin's creators. If they're complete nobodies, it may just be another hypecoin that'll amount to nothing whatsoever.
if the creators have a background in information security, software development or GPU computation programming, it's already better. Then you need to look at what concept the coin is based on (is it like bitcoin, or more like etherium, etc). If you judge that system to have the potential to keep growing, you could risk it.

However, to answer the original question, I would not call bitcoin a "Safe" investment. If you want to make a 'safe' investment, start saving up money until you have $1000 or so, then invest that into a reputable investment fund, and they'll use your money to invest in a variety of stocks by their own expertise, which is far more than that of almost anyone in this thread.
