Oh joy I bet all of you are excited to read this Kappa these threads are the best thing on MCM.

So unless you can't read the announcements, twitter feed, or just quite frankly pay absolutely no attention to the site, BucketOfSloths got promoted to Resource Moderator, Scam Resolver, and "demoted" from normal Moderator.

BucketOfSloths was given these two roles so he may focus on them more rather than dealing with the random shit that gets reported or the useless support requests or chat complaints about a negative reputation. I have a problem with this- so please bear with me.

Now, don't get me wrong, Bucket didn't do the best things occasionally as Moderator. I didn't agree with him a lot, but he by far did the most work out of the other Moderators. Got to my support requests within an hour, did my reports fast and did them right (I have to report things 4-5 times for staff to realize that I'm reporting it and it actually needs to be handled). Bucket was a great choice to bring on to Scam Resolver as he's reliable enough to get it done, but his Moderator status shouldn't be removed because he has this new position. I realize that letting him keep the rank will open him up to a lot of responsibilities and he may get burnt out, but he shouldn't be disallowed to do these reports and support requests simply due to a new position desperately needing a replacement after M6Gaming resigned. I mean, blatant proof is looking through the banned members over the past month or so, 70%+ is Bucket (If you don't include Scam Report bans, as Justis would have overshot by a way).

Bucket needs to be kept in this position as well, even if he doesn't do all that much if he chooses to focus on the Scam Reports or Resources. But he's needed for reports and support requests until more competent staff are promoted. Not trying to hate on staff, but mot of them don't do much to help. New Chat Mods are needed to filter candidates, Mods are needed to have reports and support be handled in a timely manner AND to be done right, not half assed, another Scam Resolver (temporary) to help with backlog (Don't get in a bunch, I know this was requested, and Bucket now may help, but there's a LOT of backlog).

I hope this covered what I wanted it to, but I probably left things out. No hate was intended but it's impossible not to offend someone.

Bucket is a wholehearted and hardworking staff member, however have you taken into account it may have been his choice?
Obviously if he chose to get it removed then the first half of the thread is pointless. Second half still applies though.

I completely agree here, but as you can see the Scam Report section is just covered with threads that need to be resolved,
and that's hours over hours of decication inside those reports. But to manage both support and scams will probebly make Bucket stressed out over so much work to manage at one moment. They might hire someone new to take care of the support requests, we never know. Since it's not far from when he was hired as a Scam Resolver, none of us really know how much it's changed as of now.

My position switch was certainly not due to lack of performance. It is much easier to find someone to do the monotonous tasks that are support requests and reports.
Nonono, I knew it was for the ability for you to focus, but I think they'd need you still as the rest of the team is fairly lacking in the way you handle reports, you certainly were the best and I hate to see you move on just for another part of the forum to start lacking. Reports and Support Requests will now get the backlog and be halfassed.

We all know they won't promote someone directly to Mod. So the only people in consideration is ZDesigns and Diablo, neither of which I see as on par with what's needed.

Am I right in understanding that what you're saying is that the staffing on this forum is a shit show and that there is only actually one person who does a good job of it? I wouldn't be surprised, given what I've seen.

Most of the time, yes.

Not exactly, here's the scale:
upload_2018-7-10_17-2-4.png

A Moderator is bound to stay as a Moderator unless a Scam Resolver or Resource Moderator is required and the candidate is found to be suitable for the job. It can go backwards as well, for example: I had started as a Scam Resolver, then also became a Moderator since reports were stacking up.

What Administration has done is different but at the end of the day, you have to ask: Who else can they trust right now? Some of the staff members are close to demotion. BucketOfSloths was the best choice from the given options. What they have done is logical and is what's required for the site. Both resources and scam reports require attention, now it's being given properly by a person who is to only concentrate on those. If regular moderation starts slowing down, they'll have to decide from chat moderation.

DiabloTurtle has been a Chat Moderator since February 21st, 2018.
ZDesigns has been a Chat Moderator since April 21st, 2018.

I was more of referring to the quote by Mick,
BucketOfSloths is now a Scam Resolver and Resource Moderator,
meaning he will no longer perform regular moderator duties.

I just don't see either chat mod performing to the tier as needed. Just my outlook on the situation.

I was only a chat mod for a little over a month before I was promoted to Moderator. It's all about hard work.

We just need to search out some people that are capable of transforming themselves into the ideal staff member, whether or not they are in that position mentally right now or not.
im down lmao

I disagree, I think that he should focus and put all his work into scam reports and leave the moderation duties to the other staff members so we can speed up the scam reports' backlog. [Which is getting better right now]

Scam reports will get fixed but reports and support requests have started lacking since he left. Other staff don’t seem able to do the basic moderation duties

Bucket is no longer staff so this suggestion isn't too relevant at this point. Thanks for making such a well-constructed suggestion though, I appreciate it.

Denied, thanks for the suggestion.
