Buying a server with a playerbase

My friend is looking to buy a minecraft factions server.
The biggest importance of the server is to have a playerbase.
He doesn't want to buy a setup or a server with 1 - 2 players on at most times.
And his maximum budget is $600.00

Getting a server with an average of 40 players will cost you thousands if the players are real. Servers with active 30-40 players make thousands of dollars a month in revenue. Selling one for $600 is unheard of.

LMAO I payed 5k just for a 20 pb. $600 will get you like 5-10 players

He can get somewhat of a player base like 5 players with that budget. Although, the request he wants is too high for his budget.

I personally also agree more than 25 players is pushing your luck for $600

I think that's just you. if you were only paying for the pb then you got ripped off.

Depends on the servers revenue. If the 20 players were generating lots of income then it could've been a good deal.

It's more of if you're searching or buying.
If you're looking to buy a server then you say for people with large playerbases to contact you because you assume revenue.
If you're buying a server someone is specifically selling then you buy it for the revenue. generally about 3 times the last months revenue.

Even tho it was a small pb we were generating 7-8k a week
