I'm looking to recruit players for my Creative Minecraft server and I was wondering what some good ways to do this would be. I have custom plugins, etc to make the server unique. If you're interested in joining, DM me
Here's what I've tried:
Discord Advertisements - Got a few active people from one of the ads, overall I got 306 members in total, 149 of them in this week. Only issue, many people leave after the giveaway has ended and a lot of other advertisers join then DM the owner to buy more ads.
Self Promo Advertisements - Advertised in a few advertising servers, probably got like no one idk.
Invite Rewards - yeah that's been going for a week with almost no attempt, ($10 usd for 100 for first person to reach that). I've also encouraged members to invite their friends for rewards.
Giveaways - I'm hosting giveaways on my discord. I've seen this for the giveaways, in giveaways that don't require members to do anything, they get more entries (150), in giveaways that do require members to do something, for me it's follow the server's instagram, it's 74 and less than three quarters of those entries actually followed.
Instagram - By making an Instagram for the server, I've been able to target an audience that is not from discord advertisement servers.
The server's still being worked on for a few more days so here's what I will try:
- Putting it on server lists (anyone got any suggestions?)
- Putting it on Reddit
Here's what I've tried in the past (for a towny server):
- YouTubers (got all of them from MCM and nearly all scammed me in some way whether that was not reaching the guaranteed amount of views that they said or just not even making a video in the first place)
- Server Lists
