Buying Server (Read)

I am looking for someone with experience and potentially a start-up server would be interesting. I am very capable at writing Java and a quick-learner and would be very interested in starting up a MC-server. I obviously have no experience with a Minecraft server so I would need some guidance on how to get started up. I believe I am able to use Eclipse and i have to decompile the necessary files to begin to create my own content?

If you have no experience, you'll need to get some. Try running a 5-10 player server. Don't shoot for 50-60 players just yet. Running servers is a lot harder than you think.

Of course. I have experience in running a different Game-server but that's not applicable to this anyhow. I'm not really interested in running a server at this present moment, more of getting myself suited up with an environment to begin working on something.
