To be fair, their sales will go down - but all they have to do is not drastically mess up the next one and I think they'll be fine.
Overall Battlefield will probably grow in popularity either way which is good
, infinite warfare may turn out atrocious but if they even make a half decent attempt to make their next CoD look original then CoD won't be dying anytime soon.
The last 2 battlefields left a lot of people disappointed. BF4, was almost unplayable for a full month with some insane weapon imbalances. That being said it's patched now and is a great game, especially at 10/20 euro + all DLC being made free over time. Same with Hardline, worth maybe 30 max when it launched, not a bad game to get for 10/20 $ now -- w/all DLC being made free or pay $10 I think for the premium package variants vs the original $50.
I think CoD deserves some admiration for the amount of re-skins they've managed to pull off and sell as full priced games lol.
