Hey everyone,

With a lot of recent news, updates, and even some gameplay of the multiplayer mode. I have been wondering what's everyone's actual opinion about the game next Call of Duty so far. Personally, I'm kinda excited to see what it will be like, back to some of the original stuff. No more healing, no more futuristic designs. Also, what's your opinion on not having a mini-map at all? I'm also gonna put some stuff that we know so far about the game in case you're not caught up on some things.

What we know so far:
  • Crossplay
  • New Weapon Customization
  • No Season Pass
  • Singleplayer Campaign (Nothing Like the Other)
  • 2v2 Mode (Gunfight)
  • NO ZOMBIES

High performance, consistent uptime and fast support. Minecraft hosting that just works.

COD died years ago, haven't bought any of the games since Ghosts - and even then I played it for a week. If you prefer the older CODs, play the older CODs; they still have playerbases - on PC at least.

Does PC still update the games though?

Taking Cod4 as an example:
Cod4 made ESports what it is today - one of the first games and especially first FPS games to have tournaments with prize pools. Quite a few professional CS:GO players now used to be professional Cod4 players. The stock game, however, was trash for competitive play, so they made a mod called "Promod". This mod revolutionised movements, mechanics, hitboxes and makes it the best COD game to this day (imo) despite never being made by the franchise. I still play it now, lots of people still do, despite it being almost 10 years old - and many say they cannot find a replacement.

Since this mod is community made, it does get updated every so often. It was sort of recently updated to a new version they called 1.8 which has cool newer features like screenshotting players, and better hack detection. As the game is old, it doesn't really need updates tbh, that 1.8 update solved a lot of things, and nothing else needs changing. People still make their own mods for their servers (this was back when COD allowed servers and mods), but they all sit on top of 1.8 - and no update on that scale is needed.

People are content with the game - they don't need flashy new skins, gamemodes, shitty cosmetic crap. They actually like the game for what it is, and that's it.

I agree, I never fell in love with the flash skins or any of that. I fell in love with just having a game I can grind with friends. Not the crazy jump packs or any of that. Although I feel like with this new Call of Duty they might be going back to that. Although who knows I have been wrong before. What do you think about them doing No Zombies at all? Personally, I think it's fine, it doesn't really have the player base it used to or the hype.

I only enjoyed Zombies on Black Ops 1, so it wouldn't be an issue for me. My main point was that I still play COD4, and whilst others do as well, I won't be even looking at a trailer of another game - my patience ran out after BO2. That's when I quit, I came back for 1 week for Ghosts, then never again.

They fucked it.
