Can servers be unique?

Is it just me or does every server have exactly the same plugins as the next
i legit am bored tryna play a server but every server is the same and its just getting boring

No server can technically be unique. If a server makes a unique feature and everybody likes it easily a plugin similar will be on the market in no time and that is no longer a unique feature.

No server can come up with an original gamemode and succeed (mostly) but take cosmicprisons for example, they took the idea of prisons and made it so much more original and successful.

The last time I remember seeing an original and successful gamemode being created was Wynncraft at 2013

no, minecraft is shit and the community left on PC are only interested in playing on prepopulated servers, i.e, ones with the few tested and tried gamemodes.

ye everyones making shitty faction servers etc and calling it unique cuz theres some gay ass plugins from spigot but its definitely possible if your IQ is over 65 .

Sort of, it’s how businesses and basically monopolies work. If someone has a crazy new idea, that profits as well. Everyone will eventually hop on that idea, so slowly the crazy new ideas just turn into something generic.

If you get there first with enough advertising on it you can stay on top of that gamemode.

Well yeah, the only server that’s successfully done that is Hypixel. If you’ve seen jartexnetwork, it’s basically a copy and averages a couple hundred players

I mean a couple of hundred players is not awful but it depends on what gamemode. 300 average on minigames is depressing
