Service companies bring nothing good to MC-Market. I know they're probably not even real companies because I doubt they went and got it registered and pay taxes and shit. Back onto what I was saying, they lead people away from this site more often than not onto some shitty discord server and have you make a ticket. They aren't even guaranteed to have someone to do their work either. They post in a worker-only channel and literally have them see who can do it. These service companies only benefit people who are willing to do the work. Although now I'm starting to doubt they even benefit the workers because they probably take a 60/40 tax because they literally have no talent. They also get people to spam copied and pasted messages on every thread. At once I saw a post with 19 different service companies pasted with long ass descriptions and each with a discord invite.

I think service teams should require some certification through MC-M staff to be allowed to spam their annoying ass posts all over the forums.

But IMO in a utopian minecraft-market service teams would be run completely off of donations, and freelancer would get 100% of the payment. And if the service team does exceptionally well, both the client and the freelancer should be able to leave a tip.

EDIT: And as I do agree with you, if you made this post 2 years ago this might've actually gained some traction and possible had a ban/restriction.

The reactions on that post speak for themselves.

Obviously, some of you don't want to read the individual replies so I'll post what I said on that thread, here again so you can read it.

I personally believe those people who "hate" service teams have missed the context of what a service team really is.

According to Google, individually a service is the action of helping or doing work for someone and a team is two or more people working together. Now, put these two individual words together to form service team and the definition is as follows, two or more people helping or doing work for someone.

Now, if we were to simply abandon all hope for service teams by "banning" them from running their businesses on Mc-Market, we would also be eradicating services such as Baum Designs and LeadPro. These are teams you wouldn't usually see and instantly think, "Oh hey look, another service team," but, in reality, they are service teams.

In summary, if Mc-Market bans service teams, they would, in short, be prohibiting any two people from working together to produce a service.
It’s that and the fact that a lot of freelancers are just upset they can’t compete. But that’s capitalism for ya folks.

Okay, so because one freelancer at one team couldn't complete your commission that speaks for other teams too? Definitely not.
