Can you change the capitalization on 2/1 letter accounts?

So, the name change doesn't allow us to change a name to less than 2 letters. I thought it was impossible for people with 2 or 1 letter names to change the capitalization of their names.

Until I came across with this: https://namemc.com/profile/Z.2
As you can see the name was capitalized on 2/7/2015 and it's a one letter name.
And I know that this account is owned by Mojang (at least I think) so is this exclusive to Mojang where they changed it from the MySQL or whatever type of database they use, or can anyone who owns a two/one letter do this?

Someone maybe should know the answer to this.

You were able to have a 1 and 2 letter name in the early days of minecraft.

Just as Richest said, 2-chars (and most likely 1-chars) were able to change capitalization by asking Mojang and providing TID, however I do not believe Mojang continues to provide support for accounts that do not abide by the current name requirements (3-char minimum, no special characters). I could be wrong so don't quote me on that.

If you're trying to accomplish this yourself, I have seen proof of some kind of manual capitalization manipulation technique, however I don't know much about myself.

It will just tell you that the username needs to be 3 characters or longer.

You can kinda change it using a method, but it won't show up on NAMEMC or anything else like that.
