Hi, so I am the Owner of Canadianpvp.net it is an OpPrison server, and I have been working COUNTLESS hours, to redo chat colors, message.yml for like every plugin I have, I had edited almost the entire messages.properties in essentials, and I am almost done, I just need some feedback on the work i have done so far, and perhaps some suggestions on what i could add to make the server better, and or more appealing! So, please hop on the server, and just take yourself on a tour, and let me know the pros: cons: and what I could do to make it better!

Get it right the first time.

Correct, this is the 5th version of the server, as every time I updated it, I made a HUGE change to the server, that made the server change drastically, so this is the 5th version/update of the server.

I made a change to my server once, my players loved it so much they left because constantly changing shit destroys the gameplay.

However, you should make your updates more compact and just over all better. Reset/update only when a new major Minecraft version comes out.

I still have the server based on spigot 1.8, I don't ever plan to upgrade the server version, I have ViaVersion, and people can join with 1.8 and 1.9 And, this update was the Chat Update, I redid ALL colors, because my chat was legit a rainbow. Now, it is not as bad, and we cleaned up perm stuff etc . My players don't leave either, we average 50 new joins a day If not more.

Before you say this and your second post, have you considered that maybe 1) There was a previous owner who had the server up in the past? or 2) the current owner has had the server for a long time and has gone through resets/major changes? Just because it's 5.0 doesn't mean he changes the entire server every month ya know. Resets are a thing, updates are a thing, and changes are a thing. Each of those, if major enough, constitutes a version increase of the server. Don't just assume the server is brand new and he just slapped "5.0" on it.

Good, 1.8 is the only version I play, and several others. If you don't support 1.8 you basically lose ~1/3 of the players. Chat shouldn't be a major issue as long as it's not spammy.

Not to much spam, I mean player wise as players just seem to talk a lot. But, broadcasts are very well spread, as well as ClearLag and so on

The server in my opinion (Which is biased) Is VERY well setup. Just needs something to keep the payers coming back. Ya know.
