If you're using an SRV Record (which seems likely), Minecraft doesn't link correctly sometimes and defaults to the 25565 ported server. This can normally be fixed if you were to purchase a Dedicated IP (25565 port) if your host offers it and use an A-Record.

In relation to this post, is there a minimum you're willing to take so people can see what pricing you're looking for?
