Can't get Minecraft to stop crashing

I just got home, fired up my machine, and now when I hit "PLAY" on the launcher, the launcher goes away then pops right back up telling me the game crashed. I've tried running different versions but there seems to be no solution. Anybody got a recommendation on how to fix this?

EDIT: Here's the specific error. This has never happened before. I haven't updated anything.

Error: java.lang.IllegalStateException: GLFW error 65542: WGL: The driver does not appear to support OpenGL

Try updating your graphics drivers, or completely reinstall them. Also check if Windows is up to date and if Java is up to date.

Trying all of that right now. I hope it works.

try java that happened to me a while ago and i needed to download some new java
