I know this whole site says no to cape codes, but hear me out.
My suggestions is as follows: I think this site should bring code selling into the market. The huge problem with this is the whole scamming era around codes, I want to eliminate this. I've had ideas of me and a few others creating a code shop on twitter, creating a site in general, but all seems a bit far fetched and won't eliminate the scamming era which is the key here. I feel like mcm is a reasonably safe place to purchase accounts from, so the way to slowly eliminate cape codes scams is via this site. I fully understand that the cape code scamming era will never be gone, but people need to start being more aware and come to this site to buy legit cape codes, instead of being scammed by a moron for like $50.
Now this idea will bring in more traffic to the site, which is a positive, bigger the audience the more revenue you will be gaining.
That's besides the point, I think MCM should implement a cape code section (for premium users only) to advertise their cape codes. In order for this to work, they would have to go through a process. That process will include a staff member seeing proof that they legitimately obtained the code, or if they attended the minecon themselves. There is a current rumour that cape codes no longer redeem, and this rumour is false. To simply put it to you, the code needs to be modified in order to become redeemable, s/o to chearful. Chearful has shared a method to redeem codes and I will have to check with him before I share this information with you. Back to the process, after the staff team verifies that the code is legit (either through using the proof that the seller has provided, or using cheerfuls method) The post can then be publicly shared to the rest of the market.
This is just an idea so please don't hate me for this. I know it's a huge ask, and will require additional staff which have knowledge with codes, but I think everyone wants this. Who knows. Let's find out.
