A while ago there was a rumour that a captcha was going to be implemented for changing your minecraft username to prevent people from using snipers.
Does anyone know what happened to this idea? Was it a false rumour? Is it being implemented in the future? Or did the idea get cancelled for some reason?
I'm just really curious because after name changes just came out trying to manually snipe an OG name was like a thrill and I loved the feeling so I would really want to be able to do that again.
For example I manually sniped "Tom", "None", "People", "AlQaeda" and a few other names. (By the way if you're wondering, most of those accounts got locked by mojang and I sold those that didn't)
