Hello,

So tomorrow is Memorial day and I was going to go out with family to eat or drive around places we can spend time at. We were going to use my car since I've recently got it and wanted to get use to the stiff clutch since It's very different compared to other vehicles but it is a mustang so it makes sense to have a stiff clutch.

I've been washing the car and I've taken before and after pictures. I've started my car at around 3 PM and finished around 6 PM so a solid 3 hours of washing my car really did a good shine and made my car look even nicer then before.

I've wanted to wash my car because when I bought it the dealer only soaked it in soap and that's not really how you take care of a car. You have to wash it about 2-3 times. Clay bar it, Wax it, Glass cleaner, Darker Tires and you have to be very gental and make sure you go all around the car when you do it.

Most people go to car washes now and I really dislike car washes, Of course it takes 5 min out of your day but it does not help the paint / clear coat on your car. Your car has 3 layers protecting the paint on your car and damage the clear cat (top layer) will place scratches and damage your car and won't look as nice, Plus you get to know more about your car when you clean it yourself and get a good connection if you actually care about your car and take care of it.

I've taken before and after pictures of the car. You may know a difference. If not, Camera quality is not always something to rely on but I can assure you there is definitely a difference

After Is when you can see a bit of a shine but again camera can not really catch it but I can see a bit of difference but irl you can definitely see a difference

The car looks great and washing it 3 times with soap and water, Waxing, Using a clay bar, Drying, Using glass cleaner, Using Darker tire materials and a bit of
vacuuming the car looks amazing. Here are the materials I used if anyone would like to know what to use for there cars :)

NOTE: I did not use Windex on my car, In there is dish soap and water. It allows me to scrub the clay bar all over the car nice and smooth without leaving marks. It helps get rid of any extra materials left on the car.

You also DO NOT want to use regular towels or paper, t-shirts. etc

You want to use Micro-phobic towels. It's very soft and it grips dirt into it and does not damage the paint on your car.

P.S I do not care if my license plate is showing. Nothing like that really bothers me. Could care less if you know where I live since everyone knows my address, state and city. It's all on my Membership card on here.

Thanks for reading ! :)

The whole thread is just 2 long but, i love the car, how fast can you go on it, how much did it cost you?, i have a ford mustang gt 2014 which i bought back in 2015 it was used so i got it rlly cheap, i'm saving it up for a sport car expecting to have enough around 2019, because the car is getting even older than what it was before and barely works, still goes fast af but its just 2 old
The car was about 12k and is a 2009 ford Mustang GT (Manual transmission)

holy shit, how does it even work its old af.[DOUBLEPOST=1496016267][/DOUBLEPOST]
my uncle used to have a 2007 and i just saw him like everyday fixing it cause it barely worked.
The last owner took very good care of it and Mustang's can last for a very long time. Someone I know has a 1996 Ford mustang. Only thing is he redid the engine and his has about 200k Milage on it and still runs fine. He did bring a sample of his oil into the lab and he saw alot of wear and tear on the poor thing. But that's cars for you. Mine is only 80k miles so far and I recently brought my oil into the lab and turns out the car is running great. They did find some Iron and potassium in it but again, wear and tear and that will happen more often as times go by.

I used to have 2012 GT, of course used, I bought it with only like 40,000 miles, but the transmission went to shit so fast. I won't buy a mustang or ford again for that matter, so I switched to Audi and got myself an Audi TT RS, and let me tell you it is one of the fastest and nicest cars Ive ever owned.

You sure you just did not wear the clutch out? lol. It's best to keep it in neutral at red lights and stop signs and be sure to never ride with the clutch.

I've been driving manual for years, I've owned so many different cars through trades and such, I've owned a Civic SI w/ V-TECH, Nissan 350z, BMW M3, etc. I don't know if the previous owner had worn the clutch out, but I only had the GT for like 3 months after I got it, and it was done, but I replaced the transmission on it and traded it in, and then I got the TT RS. The only Ford I'll probably ever buy again is a Focus RS or ST, but idk

Interesting,

Yea I feel like the old owner did not take as care of the car. But you seem the switch cars all the time so I don't really see a big deal in this. I've driven manuals in the past and never had issues with ford. Then I got an Audi S7 but it was sadly automatic but I leased it and was able to get the car I have now mainly because I missed Manual and always wanted a good mustang.

Yeah in the past I switched cars a lot, Ive been driving this Audi for about a year and a half now and I love it. Ive put about 60,000 miles on it so far, but here within the next year Im hoping to get an older Supra. Id love to get one of the new ones that are coming out, but those are gonna be around $100,000. I also have a Scion FRS that I drive on occasion, and thats a really fun car too
