Hey everyone, as you may or may not know I’m Vip. Owner of CaribbeanMC.com. Today I come to you guys with an offer to sell my server. The reason behind me selling it is. I start school this September. Another year of learning and improving my education I really have no time to run a factions server while handling my social life and my education. CaribbeanMC is a faction server which released late July and got nearly 100 members on release (from just discord, no youtubers). Then throughout the season, it got 50-70 players online at all times. Including a total of 351 dollars in donations (shown below). Caribbean S1 ended shortly due to a dupe glitch we missed in beta. Although it ended shortly it didn’t really lose the player base when we released S2 (which is currently done). Season 2 averaged around the same amount of members as season 1. The server has great potential and huge assets (listed below). You’ll be receiving the full server ownership and resell rights (exclusive resell rights only) meaning you cannot sell this to more than one person or use it as a pre-made setup.

Assets:

1. The files - Caribbean has advanced files on the plugin side many custom little things like /features etc. The development team and I took things to a new level when developing the server. From custom messages, to all up to date features, to even the little likes like NPCs. When developing this server, unlike any server we actually considered fitting the name into the aspects of the server. “Caribbean”MC is featured in the server by how the spawn has a crashed boat and how the world is custom themed to fit the feeling of Caribbean.
2. The builds - The spawn that comes with the server is somewhat leaked due to world downloaders. I purchased this spawn in 2016. It came with a server I bought known as ReflectedMC. Proof it was in the setup is here () I bought the server from XBiscut and another owner I cannot remember. In the video you will see the spawn (video posted almost two years ago). 3. The custom 6k by 6k world. The world is Caribbean themed to fit the server. It has large bodies of water but also large islands. Since it is factions we had to keep a lot of land to build bases
4. The 847 member discord. (Linked below). The discord comes fully setup with all the needed roles and channels. I’ve ?purged all channels that players can talk in. The discord also has many faction leaders and you tubers for you to get easy assess to ads and rosters.
5. The logo. The logo (displayed at the top of this thread) is fully custom and was made awhile ago when I owned the server with a couple of my buds who have quit MC sadly. You’ll have full rights to the logo.
6. The domain. Unlike a lot of servers the domain is CaribbeanMC.com. A “.com” domain is worth more than a “.net” domain and it displays the server in a better/more professional way.
7. The website. Our website is pretty basic and made by yours truly DarkKnight (Caribbeanmc.com)
8. The staff. Caribbean’s staff are very professional and run off the guidelines. As much as I’d love for them to stay on the server we cannot guarantee they will. They aren’t under any sort of contract meaning we cannot force them to be staff on Caribbean. BUT we will not manipulate them to leave.
9. The Buycraft. The server made a total of 351 dollars within two seasons which were cut short sadly due to minor bugs BUT hard to fix bugs. A good owner and good leader will always know the best ways to increase sales
10. The reputation. As many of the members said the reputation is “ruined”. I disagree. The reputation is really good. The players still wanna play the server, the players still wanna donate, and the players would love to continue to interact. Thats what makes me think the reputation isn’t ruined. As if you still have the PB how could the reputation be ruined?

Things you’ll not be getting:

1. Premium plugins. It is illegal to redistribute premium plugins so the folder will be in the files all you have to do is download the files and upload the jars (List of premium plugins will be provided)
2. The /warp pvp. It’s a resource which I cannot redistribute. BUT the server comes with a custom boat koth which is already on the server near spawn.
3. The /ce this is a resource from MCM.

Q&A:
1. Why are you selling the server but making a skyblock server?
Believe it or not skyblock is an easier gamemode than factions. Factions usually require the owner online to operate it. As I go into a new year of my education I cannot always be online. Compared to Skyblock I can have the server running and people having fun while I focus on my education. I'll still be coming on the server often.

Vouch for Vip and the server. Map 1 was successful averaging 40-70 players concurrently. Comes with everything he stated in the thread. Would definately recommend purchasing if you have the time and money to put into it. Would be a great investment.

Negating this vouch, this server close to map end had an average of 10 people maximum. Had a ton of bugs on map 2 and was cut short before grace period ended. Would not recommend purchasing. Owner states that the discord has nearly 1k members but the majority are inactive and don't play and making claims to say that players are ready to donate is an overstatement, no 1 wanted to donated after map 2.

I really don't think you have the right to say any of that. I provided proof of the PB on both S1 and S2. You really cannot say the players won't donate. Look at any server. The littlest server gets the most donations. My past servers DischargeNetwork, HillsideMC, and a couple more made 100 within the first hour of release. Many bugs? it was one minor bug which made us close early. The minor bug was worldborder shrinking which was an easy fix. But I noticed how much time I put towards that server and how much time I'll still need to put towards it (because factions isn't an easy gamemode to run as an owner). You cannot say no one wanted to donate because of your not everyone.

Discord is full of inactives as mentioned by ItsDaVi and the server may have had a good start but quickly ended up with a very low average player-base. While a former owner was still part of the team (S1), he offered me and other factions up to $350 buycraft to play.

Although I really don't wanna bring the topic up with S1 as it was very immature of not only the Ex Co-Owner but also me. All it was is lack of communication between me and the ex co-owner had. It ended up in a demotion and loads of drama. I'm not sure what you mean by the IP addresses getting taken by a former staff? I'm not aware that anyone took IPs. Discord filled with inactive people is just like any other discord. I'll name a few LabWards, 2k members only 200 online, Blocksville. Most discords are inactive so you cannot blame us for anything. S2 quickly died down the cause of the minor worldborder glitch. The player base is easy to get back as it wasn't even messed up to a serious point. Any server owner with experience or basic knowledge knows how to get a PB back (not saying we lost the pb because we really didn't). NOTE there was no youtubers for both releases. We only have a youtuber come once which was RiverRain, he did one live stream.

The Kodak kid? That guy was with the Ex Owner. I count that as one person. The only IPs taken were mine and a couple staff. That was dealt with and we found out later no IPs were saved fully (we got one of the people working with him to delete it).

When I viewed the logs they said they are posting in a doc. The user (not disclosing the name) showed me the doc with the IPs and he deleted the doc and went to recently deleted on google and did it there too. From what I know there deleted and nothing got leaked.

No offense, but if you have a '70-playerbase', but only make less than 400$ it means that either most players are alts, or they are spoofed. Also, are selling the server to avoid having to pay the f-top prize?

So, I was an Admin here for some time as when Centuries (another previous owner before he resigned) moved here I alongside some other staff of OctaneMC came as well. Release took a long time, lots of planning and such, and honestly there was LOTS of issues. The server was great, but there were so many issues, the server had to go down multiple times, the TPS always spiked low, it was a big lagstorm time to time. I was demoted once by Vip, without being notified at all, then centuries had to add it back. Eventually, Centuries resigned due to what he says Vip wasn't cooperating/helping etc. not really my business. At the time I was in charge of buycraft vouchers (providing them to players for rosters and invite rewards) but then again I was randomly demoted and players I was supposed to help I couldn't do so; so I just left it alone and didn't bother to see why it got removed.

This isn't really a devouch, the server can go great in the right hands, but during my experience and I'm sure lots of the players could say the same that the server wasn't really stable.

During release the server peaked sometimes to 80-100 people, but around 15 people (bots) sometimes got kicked, so really there were only 50-60 actual people online.

He's right, there were tons of bots during the release I saw with my own eyes and so did the other staff. Huge groups of players being kicked at once with the same IPs too
