Cashapp problem

I made a cashapp account yesterday and added my bank account. I tried sending £50 to a friend.. However, when I put in his cashapp id and clicked send, it said that my bank had stopped the payment. I have a UK bank account with NatWest.

I was thinking that it may be that I'm under 18 so my bank stopped the transaction or that it's because I sent so much on a fresh account.

Anyone know the real reason? Thanks guy

It's because your bank account is a Under 19s account. I'm also from the UK and had this problem before, once I turned 18 I converted my bank into a normal bank instead of under 19s and now I can use CashApp, gamble etc.

I'm not sure, I think that could work. I think your best chance would be to get someone to MM the deal for you, you bank transfer them, they cashapp to the person you're trying to send to.

I'm assuming you have a Natwest Adapt account (Under 18's). Pretty sure you can't use that. Needs to be a select account, which is the normal current account for 18+.

Yep, got an adapt account.. guess I'll just have to avoid cashapp for now, I'll use something else.. thx tho

I have a Natwest adapt account and its the same, I got myself a Monzo card (which is free) recently as a bank account to save my money and I'm able to send money from that account.

I had the same issue at petrol stations, I could only use my NatWest card at a till, I can use the Monzo card at a pump.

Btw, I tried using a curve card and that doesn't work either
