This is legit a market place and who would be here to make a friend? Some other guy made a thread about buying friends and people commented just for that $5.. That's how low people are for money and if you truly want to make a friend then walk out the door, interact with people, there! You don't even need to, you can just play games and make friends that way, and that's how I made friends.
When it comes to people offering me free stuff, I always decline. I won't lie about that and I am playing a game called "League of Legends" on and off.. I have a few friends and this guy always offers to buy me stuff, but I always decline. Sadly I cannot show because LoL resets the chat history and I don't know how to retrieve it, but he said how he got $500 for xmas and he offered $100 worth of RP but did I accept? No, because I know that's just being a money whore/gold digger. Their presence and kindness is worth more than their money because if they know you use them for their money then you don't get their presence or comfort or money or any feelings of a true friend by your side..
