I have just finished writing my 'FakePlayers' plugin and am distributing it. Basically it allows you to modify the servers properties when it is pinged as shown below

It is fully configurable. The config is shown below:
Code: 
Fake players: true
Add real players: true
Online: 100000000
Max players: 3

# Fake players must be false for this to work
Hide players: true

# Others must be false of this to work
Display text: false
Text: '&9Some text'
And some proof of what you all want. It does trick server lists as shown in this picture:

I believe the server is still at the top here: http://minecraft-server-list.com/sort/PlayersOnline/
But it will probably be taken down for obvious reasons. If you buy this plugin you should use it smartly and be subtle about your fake players. Note that this plugin requires ProtocolLib which is a library for packet use. It will not effect your server at all. It also is a Bukkit/Spigot plugin, not a bungeecord plugin.

I created a random amount with a min and max. It looks realistic when you set the min and max to around 10-20, but when it is at 10000-20000 and 4000 people log off each time they ping the server, I think people will start to suspect something.

There's already a public plugin that does the same exact thing.

This isn't very special. If you could make it so it added a certain amount of extra players so there's always say 10 or 20 more online than there really are, that would be convenient. And add them to tab list along with /list so they seem like regular players.

Pretty sure that free public one doesn't fool Minecraftservers.org...

I can prove it to you. It does change the player count on .org, I promise. Boosting your player count doesn't do a lot and of course it doesn't null the importance of server lists at all.

Take a look at the screenshot in the original post. His server is above Mineplex because it has 30,000 people online. You might aswell have the 6th (Ik there isn't one but it pretty much is) .org slot whenever you want.

Bought the plugin yesterday - everything went smoothly, he's a nice guy. Sadly this does not work with any Bungee servers so I can't use it, but he is not a scammer.

Anyone know any other plugins where you can change the colour of the amount of players, and replace the amount of players with your own server name (or whatever text)?

I mean, try it out if you want to but that's not .org that's a completely different website. It's nothing like having a 'sixth .org slot'.

The plugin would not be amazing at getting players, but I believe it could work. Assuming you have a small server with maybe 10 on max, you could set the online players to 10 or 20 and add the online players so your count would like like 25 instead of 5. This would attract more people when bumping, but I doubt they would stay unless the server is decent. I will test this theory in a few days when I finish updating my server.

There's a public plugin that does literally the same exact thing and offers more features too...

There won't be a limit. If you thinking that this plugin will destroy all the server lists so I should limit it, your probably wrong :p
I doubt it will do much damage to server lists since most don't have a 'most online players' section.

I actually wasn't thinking of that at all xD. I just wanted to know because I was planning on buying this in the future so I didn't want the copies to run out ya kno haha
